| This performance area is about the recognition and management of common medical conditions in primary care.
|
In the previous two sections, data gathering and making diagnoses/making decisions, we have learned about a number of behaviours that are needed to solve problems. In this chapter, we will move on and specifically apply these abilities to clinical problems that present in primary care.
There are seven major themes in the clinical management domain, each represented by a competency progression, which we will now discuss. Let us look at the word pictures from the first progression shown in Fig. 1.
