Instruction
For each child below select the single most appropriate management plan from the above list of options whilst awaiting the result of an MSU. Select ONE answer only. Each option may be used once, more than once, or not at all
- A three month old boy develops a runny nose, cough and a temperature of 37.2. He has a temperature of 37.2 C but is otherwise well.
- A two month old boy had prolonged jaundice following a 36 week forceps delivery. Over the last two days he has been irritable, fed poorly and vomited several times. His temperature is 37.5 degrees C
- A four year old girl develops dysuria. Her mother says that she also has perineal irritation at night. The perineal area is excoriated. Her urine shows + leucocytes but is otherwise NAD.
- A two year old girl develops dysuria and frequency but is otherwise well. Urinalysis shows + Leucocytes + Nitrites
