    Seeing the big picture
 
I would like to begin by thanking my predecessor in Crammer's Corner, Ben Riley, who has done a great job by illuminating various aspects of the exam. I hope to build on this during the coming year with a series of articles that will be fact light but (I hope) insight rich.

Here is a fair question: ‘Why should I take any notice of what you have to say?’ I could sell myself by telling you that I am an experienced examiner and have helped develop the new MRCGP. I could tell you that I lead the blueprinting group which oversees how the components of the exam test the curriculum and that I contribute to the development of the curriculum itself.
