I would like to begin by thanking my predecessor in Crammer's Corner, Ben Riley, who has done a great job by illuminating various aspects of the exam. I hope to build on this during the coming year with a series of articles that will be fact light but (I hope) insight rich.
Here is a fair question: Why should I take any notice of what you have to say? I could sell myself by telling you that I am an experienced examiner and have helped develop the new MRCGP. I could tell you that I lead the blueprinting group which oversees how the components of the exam test the curriculum and that I contribute to the development of the curriculum itself. However, the most important thing about me is that I am a family doctor who is passionate about general practice and an educator who wants people, patients as well
